Elk Island Child and Youth Ranch was established in 2000 in Lamont, Alberta with one facility. At that time, the facility had the ability to house 4 clients. In its infancy, Elk Island Child and Youth Ranch owner and operator, Mark Lacoursiere, recognized the industry need and expanded the facility. Today, Elk Island Child and Youth Ranch has 4 properties on 142 acres, 1 SIL house and the capacity of 22 beds, as well as an administration office located at 4707 51 Street, Lamont, Alberta.
