Mission Statement
Elk Island Child and Youth Ranch Inc’s mission is to encourage the healthy growth and development of each adolescent’s potential. Using the analogy of each area of development as “bricks” the treatment team’s goal is to add “bricks” by instilling self-worth and empathy for others through development of individual strengths, skill and talents enabling them to achieve their highest potential.

We encourage our youth to be courageous, compassionate and strong in their ability to face challenges. We are committed to preparing our youth to be adaptable citizens with an open world view. We aspire to instill honesty as a core value and to influence our youth to be ethical and responsible members of society. We will teach basic skills, foster creative and critical thinking, and provide a foundation for life-long growth. We will nourish our youth’s emotional lives and guide their social development. To realize our mission, our programs will provide an engaging, challenging, personalized program that supports each individual’s talents and potential.
